ROW Poetry

The year after ROW started, (2009) some of our students got to conference with Will Smith himself! This was all set up by a lady called Carol Anne McGuire.

Rock Our World is a global project which has over 30 schools from around the world participate.  2008 was when the ROW (Rock Our World) first started. Each year there is a different topic and this year our focus is on poems.

As part of ROW the extension class have been practicing with different topics. Our first practice one was about chocolate. Our one we had to post on our blog was about Mrs Tele'a. Here is what I created. Also thanks Mrs Tele'a for being a great model!

A haiku is a japanese poem. To create a haiku you need to have 5 syllables in the first sentence, 7 in the second and 5 in the 3rd and final sentence.

  1. Hi Kaycee,

It was really fun in extension. The earring looks really pretty. So you were doing a poem about it?
I done her pointy nose and drew it longer like a witch and a beauty spot on it.

KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK KACE!!!!!!!!
