When I woke up on Monday morning I felt tired. I could hear an annoying sound in my head telling me to get up. Finally opening my eyes I saw my dad. It was 6:30 and he was trying to get me out of bed. Slowly dragging myself to my draw I found my uniform and put it on.
Arriving at school, I jumped out of the car and ran to class. When I got there I found my class doing writing. So I pulled out my net book and started working. At 10:30 I went to the Tusitala with Mrs Burt. We were practising our speech for our visitors coming. When the ambassadors get back it is nearly morning tea. I grabbed out my maths book and got ready for the quick 20.

Monday Mornings
I am learning to write an introduction that hooks in my audience. Here are 3 versions. Which Monday Morning introduction do you like best and why?
1.“Leave me alone!” I shouted at my brother as I slowly woke up. It was so early in the morning I could hardly open my eyes! When I finally got up, I nearly drifted back to sleep again when I sat down.
2. I was sleeping very well when suddenly the annoying sound of the alarm clock woke me up. Pretending to get up I slowly touched the ground an pulled myself up.
3. Did you know that I have to wake up approximately 40 Mondays out of 52 just for school. Also kids NEED about 9 -10 hours of sleep. That probably means kids need to go to school at 7 - 8’ o clock.
