Bob and The Black Hole

Today we watched a movie called The Black Hole. Then we had to write ten sentences to describe the movie. I did this with Tyla-Marie and Hosannah. These sentences are in no particular order.
On this first picture our sentences were...
What would you do with a black hole that could go through anything?
Late at night Bob discovered the black hole.
Suspiciously wondering, Bob realised it could go through anything.
In front of the vending machine, was where Bob put the black hole.
Putting his hand through the hole, he reached for a chocolate bar.
This picture says....
Hearing a sound from the office, he walked towards it.
Placing the hole on the locked door, he opened it to reach the safe.
The big grey safe led Bob to money.
"This could make me a millionaire", thought Bob. "I should steal all the money"
For being greedy, he deserved to be locked in the safe. And he was.
SHAME BOB!!!

Do you think you know how the movie went??? If not here it is....

Changing Direction

"If you don't change direction you may end up where you are heading" - Confucius.
This was one of the two saying Miss King showed us today, meaning if you don't try a different path you may miss out on exciting opportunities. The second one was "Happiness VS Joy"

Our task was to take pictures of things that explained one of these sayings. Tyla-Marie, Gloria and I got the saying "If you don't change direction you may end up where you are heading" Anyway... here are our pictures.

Lollipop Moments

Today during class we watched a movie that inspires many people called Lollipop Moments. It was told by a man called Drew Dudley. When we started watching it I was wondering what was it about? Later on in the movie I started to realise.

Lollipop Moments are where you do something small or big and change the way someone feels or how they act. You can also make them feel happier. It's easy to make lollipop moments. You can help out with something like washing, the dishes etc.

I think the main idea is that if you do something small or big you can change someone's life without knowing.

Holiday Experiences

Throughout the holidays I have enjoyed many activities and places such as... Rocket Ropes, Parakai Springs, Horse Riding, The Zoo and more! Every week for 3 weeks I got to go to 3 places.

For the first week we got to have fun at Parakai Hot Springs. I also went to Motat and got a bit freaked out at Rocket Ropes!

In the second week we watched animals at the zoo, then saw some fish and stingrays at Kelly Tarltons and finally had a swim at Mt Albert Wave Pools. The slide wasn't really packed which was good!

The third week we went to the Drury Horse Trek. It was great fun and I got to ride a horse called Buster. A day later we went to watch Rise Of The Guardians. It was quite good. On the last day we just went to Glen Innes Pools.

Overall I had a great holiday and I really love all the activities I got to do. I can't wait until the next holidays.

Happy New Year!

I enjoyed 2012 and thought it was a blast but now it's time to begin 2013! Many people all over the world celebrate the new year with fireworks and family tradition, but this year we decided to keep it simple with a party, some glow in the dark stuff and the family. It was an awesome time! I hope you enjoyed your 2012!

Taupo Bay

Have you ever woken up to a burning hot morning and said to yourself "Oh my gosh... Can we go for a swim!?" Well for the past few days that's exactly what I have been thinking. That's why, I was glad there was a beach not far from where we were, called Taupo Bay.

Just so you know, Taupo Bay is a magnificent beach not far from Totara North. It's sandy, like each one should be, it has a delightful breeze, some awesome waves and of course cooling water to calm everyone's burning hot bodies.

Arriving near the beach you could see the amazing view from the hill just before the beach. When we got down to the beach, Zane, TuAriki and I raced out with our boards and jumped in the water. As we got in, one wave bowled us over straight away.

Rushing out to the deeper end to catch the next wave, I saw Zane go under quite quickly. Luckily he came back up. Spending 3 hours at the beach that day wore us out and gave me sun stroke. But the next day we didn't go to the beach.

During the whole week we probably went to the beach 2 days and spent a good 6 hours swimming. After this we were burnt on our backs, shoulders, arms and face. Even though we got burnt it was such a great beach!
